A Hidden Fact is based on the idea of a crossword puzzle, a common vocabulary expansion game. However, education in Hong Kong does not really facilitate the acceptance of LGBTQ culture among the new generation. The words “Lesbian,” “Gay,” “Bisexual,” and “Transgender” are in bright colors, so that they are noticed at a glance. They are concrete labels applied by society, and it is the mindset of that society that determines the equality of LGBTQ people. Though LGBTQ people seem to have more rights in modern society, and the rainbow represents the societal acceptance of LGBTQ culture, subconscious discrimination still exists (that is why the word is in semi-opaque red).
