Every member of an ethnic minority in Hong Kong may have faced some or all of these situations: discrimination, being pointed and laughed at, difficulty finding a job, or being a target for attack… All of these obstacles can become a huge whirlpool making you lose your way. Your hidden sense of inferiority and your own invisible psychological coping mechanisms, such as escapism, form a complex maze that confuses the mind and blocks the path ahead. However, these situations can still be changed and improved. Both sides can make an effort to fight against discrimination and to build the confidence of those who are discriminated against. As long as we keep trying, we can all enjoy a diverse, vibrant city.

As a first-year undergraduate in the Communication School at Hong Kong Baptist University, 18-year-old Hazel Luo Yueming does not have a lot of experience in creating works of art. However, with her passion for art and her belief that art is for everyone, she has tried to draw with colored pencils and pens and make short films and works of calligraphy. Due to the firm belief that practice makes perfect, she has continued to record her life and feelings in various art forms.

或許每個在香港的少數族裔都曾面對歧視的目光和不屑的嘲笑，以及找工作的困難等，這一切都化作巨大的漩渦將人捲入。本應是指路的箭頭卻指向原點。小心翼翼，如履薄冰，內心的恐懼和自卑也化作迷宮重重圍堵。彩色的美麗城市旭日東昇，卻是遙不可及的理想。但迷宮總有出路，未來依然可期。

羅悅銘，香港浸會大學傳理學院大一學生。她雖然未經過專業訓練，卻始終對藝術滿懷熱情。她曾嘗試製作微電影和短視頻，並嘗試繪製彩鉛畫和圓珠筆畫。秉著熟能生巧的理念，她努力去將生活的點滴觸動用藝術的方式記錄。
